Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CraneFocus (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

CraneFocus is a mood tracking and reflection app for iOS devices. The App allows you to:

• Record daily mood entries using a color-based system
• Write reflections and notes about your day
• Track moments throughout your day
• View weekly and monthly mood patterns
• Customize the app’s appearance with various color themes

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device and any passcodes
• Backing up your data if desired (via export)
• Using the App in compliance with all applicable laws
• Any content you create within the App

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your data. In summary: all your data stays on your device, and we don’t collect any personal information.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the App’s name, logo, or branding without permission

You retain all rights to the content you create within the App (your entries, reflections, and notes).

Disclaimer

CraneFocus is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will meet your specific requirements
• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
• Any errors in the App will be corrected

Not Medical Advice

CraneFocus is not a medical device or healthcare app. The App is designed for personal reflection and self-awareness only. It is not intended to:

• Diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or mental health condition
• Replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
• Serve as a substitute for consultation with qualified healthcare providers

If you are experiencing mental health issues, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data
• Loss of profits or revenue
• Emotional distress
• Any damages arising from your use of the App

Data Loss

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for backing up your data. We recommend:

• Periodically exporting your data using the app’s export feature
• Maintaining regular device backups

We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from device failure, app deletion, or any other cause.

App Store Terms

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s App Store Terms of Service and Usage Rules. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple’s terms, Apple’s terms shall prevail with respect to your use of the App Store.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App without notice for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
